Proposed Constitution & By-Law Updates

Valour Community Centre AGM – May 21, 2026

Valour Community Centre will be presenting proposed updates to our Constitution and By-Laws at this year’s Annual General Meeting. In accordance with Section 18.3 of our current Constitution, this serves as the required 21-day notice that amendments will be brought forward for member review and vote at the AGM. Over the past several months, a Board subcommittee has been working to modernize our governing documents. The goal of these updates is to ensure our structure, processes, and policies better reflect the current needs of our organization and the community we serve. These proposed changes are intended to:


• Improve clarity and consistency within the document
• Align governance practices with current non-profit standards
• Support more effective decision-making and operations
• Reflect the growth and evolution of Valour Community Centre Members will have the opportunity to review the proposed amendments in advance and ask questions prior to the vote at the AGM.
